Day 7 "Goodbye Luebeck"
Our last day came and went far too quickly. We spent most of the day collecting gifts and souvenirs that we had been holding off on getting. It continued to snow off and on Everyday that we spent in Luebeck and it looks like snow for when we are back in the states too. :) i made sure i had a last taste of everything before we left. I think by far the thing we will miss the most is the Food. In the christmas markets you are bombarded at all times with delicious foods and there is just not enough time to try them all. For breakfast I had a Small sandwich with Salami and butter form the Stadt Backeri, then Gary and i both had some Turkish Pizza. then i had a open flame rotiseri ham sandwich. I had some more Gluewein and for dinner I had a delicious Cured ham knuckle with Paulaner. After dinner Leigh and I shared a bottle Of Luebecker RotSpon which Leigh grew to like while she was there.
We all want ot stay alot longer because there is much that we still want to do. There were friends that hoped to meet up with, and places we would have liked to have toured but i guess we have to go back to the grind eventually. All in all Luebeck is a beautiful city. We will all be back to visit again i think. Maybe during the Summer time so that we have some pictures without hats and scarfs. :)
Thanks to all for following along. Hope you were able to get a glimpse of the time we had.
Danke und Auf Wiedersehen!

Days 4-5 "Darmstadt w/ Ken and Arrive in Lubeck"
| From Day 4-5 in germany |
Internet is limited now that we are in a Hotel so this will be the last post while we are in Germany. On tuesday we made the trip up to Darmstadt and had an awesome dinner with Ken my old exchange student. We walked through the center of town and got to enjoy a little bit of their Christmas Fair.
Wednesday morning we left for Lubeck. Again, travel was very smooth with no issues. We made our way into the city by car. We found the cheapest way was to simply rent a car for the day and take it into the city. Our hotel is mere minutes from everything going on in the city. We all walked to the Chirstmas Market nestled next to the old Town Hall and The St. Mary's church. I gave a quick tour and everyone kinda set out on their own. Gary Leigh and I did a tour of the town Hall. Built in 1235 it is a beautiful building with much history. The tour was in german so the history part may have escaped us a bit but it was still very interesting. Leigh ate her first currywurst inside one of the food shacks in the Market. It is so nice to be back in Lubeck. It is a very beautiful city and their Christmas market is very homey.
The next post will likely be from the states as i don't think i will have access to internet for this period of time again.

Day 3 "Winter Wonderland"
So, we took a ride out into the country and found that it had been snowing in the Elevation. We were on our way to Castle Neuschwanstein. The was a Castle built by King Ludvig II in the mid 1800's. We could not have asked for a more beautiful day to view a Castle on the outskirts of the Alps. The sun was partially out, all the trees were covered in a fresh layer of snow. It was just clear enough to see to the Castle. The castle we tours is believed to be the model for Cinderellas castle at Disney. The other castle in the Album is King Ludwig's Parents castle. Ludvig decided to build his own more Roman Gothic castle in the mountain across form where he grew up. Isn't that like all kids. :)
We took a tour of the extravagantly laid out interior but were not able to get any pictures due to some copy writing law. The castle was never finished because Ludvig dies before the completion. Even so the rooms that were finished were pretty Dramatic.
We made the journey back to Drew and Annie's and we treated ourselves to and light dinner of Abends brot (Small Dinner Sandwiches). Now time to get some sleep. Tomorrow is a Free day foreveryone!
A Video of the Castle and surrounding Cliffs!
A fun Panorama of the side of the castle!

Day 1 In the books
We spent the day today at the Stuttgart WeinachtsMarkt (Christmas Fair). It snowed early in the morning so there was a nice coating of snow on the way there. Leigh had her first German Gluewein (Mulled Wine) and I got to have some Wurst and Pommes (Sausage and Fries w/ Mayo). We went to dinner at a restaurant called Brau hause. We ate nothing that was good for us and loved it. Almost time for bed now. We shall see what tomorrow brings.
